Key purpose of the Job

The Brandix Group Risk & Control division reports to an independent Audit Committee and is committed to ensuring best-in-class governance, risk and compliance practices. Internal Audit is one of the strategic pillars of Group Risk & Control and is resourced by a team specialized in Data Analytics, Information System Audit, and Financial and Operational Audit. The main purpose as the lead in Data Analytics is to develop information-driven insights to help identify trends and opportunities for further evaluation. The role holder will extract meaning from complex data relationships to be used in carrying out internal audit assignments as well as for the Risk Management function.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Translating high-level business requirements/problems into a sound and comprehensive analytical framework through appropriate usage of advanced statistical/mathematical techniques
2. Implementing statistical and data mining techniques to identify trends, figures, and other relevant information
3. Deploying machine learning methodologies and algorithms to build data products that streamline the process from data collection to insight generation
4. Creating a vision and road map for using analytics in Internal Audit, and prioritising projects with analytics tools that can be incorporated into the existing Internal Audit processes
5. Identifying steps to categorise and map critical data points, and a methodology to extract usable data for decision making
6. Delivering well-organised reports and advanced dashboards making use of new age tools and technologies
7. Supporting the implementation of LRP initiatives which includes audit automation, continuous monitoring through exception reports for management, and setting up governance processes including governance dashboards
8. Undertaking projects to improve processes (e.g., research new trends in data analytics/audit automation) 


Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics and a Professional Qualification in Finance


4+ years of experience in data-driven statistical methods, data mining, time-series analysis, and machine learning algorithms
Strong command of R or Python, SQL, and the Microsoft Office Suite (including advanced Excel/VBA)
Applied experience with a data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau or any other visualization tools)
Hands-on experience in Galvanize (ACL) and exposure to the Apparel industry will be an added advantage
