Key purpose of the Job

The Fabric Technologist - Development & Bulk is responsible for execution of the RM development and bulk fabric technology processes for the assigned customer account(s).
Includes mill evaluations, technical risk assessments, fabric testing, customer approvals, ensuring supply, trouble shooting for bulk fabric issues, profitability & SRM.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physical science or Textile technology or any other relevant stream or A Degree or Diploma in Textile and Clothing Technology would be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for executing fabric technology processes for RM development (e.g., mill evaluations, technical risk assessments).
  2. Execute fabric processes for Bulk to achieve supply objectives (e.g., bulk risk assessments, approvals, troubleshooting).
  3. Implement assigned functional improvement projects, focusing on supply, profitability, and SRM.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve functional objectives.
  5. Required skills include fabric and trim item testing, quality approval, and color evaluation.

Experience

1 to 3+ years of relevant experience in the Fabric Technology function, with strong technical knowledge of raw materials and fabric technology processes
