Key purpose of the Job

The Manager - Fabric Technology will be reporting to the General Manager - Product Development Center. You will be responsible for end to end fabric development, testing and assurance processes for an account (customer / SBU). Leading and managing Fabric Technologists to ensure the smooth sourcing of raw materials from capable suppliers, as per quantity, quality and technical requirements will be a critical part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out technical, investigative and quality control work during the sourcing of fabric to ensure that quality, ethical and legal standards are met
  • Supporting collaborative partnerships with suppliers to accomplish fabric sourcing objectives
  • Supporting the efficient running of all related functions to ensure timely sourcing and development of fabric to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Leading the team for the achievement of functional objectives

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Textile/Clothing/Fabric Technology or any other relevant stream

Experience

4 - 6 years of relevant experience in the Fabric Technology function, with strong technical knowledge of raw materials and commercial acumen
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage across all levels of the organization
