Key purpose of the Job
The Garment Technologist is responsible for working closely with the Development team, end buyers, and the sample room from the tech pack stage through to production. You will oversee all aspects of pattern making, from development until bulk patterns are handed over to the production plant. It is your responsibility to ensure the timely delivery of samples in the correct quality and to follow up on sample approvals. Additionally, you must ensure that accurate consumption orders for trims are provided and that approved patterns are passed to the marker maker for fabric consumption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review technical packs and design intent and align teams on requirements.
- Assess product risks and drive solutions during development.
- Guide construction, sampling, and pattern development for optimal results.
- Evaluate fit, comfort, and appearance and provide clear fit comments.
- Manage development timelines, customer communication, and team guidance.
