Key purpose of the Job

The Assistant Manager - Finance is responsible for partnering with various functional work streams (e.g., Operations, Marketing, SC, Support functions) for developing functional strategies, long-range plans (LRP), budgets, and enabling achievement of financial key performance indicators (KPIs). The Role holder provides financial expertise for strategy formulation & decision making and enables KPI achievement through rigorous performance monitoring, analytics, review facilitation, functional governance, benchmarking & driving implementation of key functional projects / initiatives.Furthermore, the job holder is responsible for execute the vested duties and responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety guidelines, instructions and protocols of the Organization.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide financial expertise / inputs for functional strategy formulation, including LRP, functional budgets and improvement projects
  2. Drive functional KPIs achievement through effective financial MIS / reporting, performance analytics, review facilitation and projects / key initiatives implementation
  3. Ensure governance, internal control mechanisms are in-built in the function, monitor and report any deviations
  4. Collaborate with the functional stakeholders and Finance teams for achievement of the Financial KPIs and governance objectives
     

Education

Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or a Bachelor’s Degree

Experience

7 to 8+ years of relevant experience with a strong knowledge in budgeting, overhead management, financial and management accounting concepts.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Factory Accountant/ Finance manager or an equivalent role is a must.
Exposure to operations functions and processes will be an added advantage
