Key purpose of the Job

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and monitoring the annual location budget as well as managing overheads of the location. The role holder also collaborates with cross-functional teams for undertaking value creation initiatives.  Ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks, and audit compliance is a key responsibility of this role. The role holder is also accountable for the efficient management of in-house materials and risk management processes, ensuring operational effectiveness, compliance, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation of location budget and monitoring adherence.
  • Responsible for achieving top line and bottom-line targets by partnering with business teams
  • Responsible for managing overheads including monitoring target vs actuals (monthly/ quarterly) and suggesting corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders for value creation projects (cost optimization, productivity improvement, and facilitate periodical reviews
  • Ensure governance and adherence to internal control systems, prepare MIS and other reports for management
  • Ensure adherence to tax and other statutory regulations

Education

Qualified or partly qualified in CIMA or CA Sri Lanka (ICASL), or hold a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline

Experience

Strong understanding of operational processes, internal controls, and corporate governance practices.
6 to 7+ years of relevant experience in finance, budgeting, and accounting, with strong expertise in overhead management and internal controls; (Candidates who are partly qualified in CIMA or CA Sri Lanka should have over 10 years of relevant experience)
