Key purpose of the Job

The Executive – Business Support is responsible for managing the Group’s CapEx process, including budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, reporting, and coordinating ICT and Engineering CapEx requirements. The role oversees the CapEx workflow and procurement committee activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance in documentation. It also supports financial planning and reporting for the Group Solar Project and central engineering initiatives. Additionally, the position ensures adequate insurance coverage for all regional assets and facilitates timely settlement of claims. The job holder is further responsible for carrying out all assigned Health & Safety duties in accordance with organizational protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

•Develop, manage, and monitor the annual/quarterly Group CapEx budget, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and overseeing CapEx expenditure across all asset categories.
•Prepare and present accurate CapEx reports on budget utilization, variances, and insights for management decision-making, while administering and maintaining the CapEx system (FundFlare).
•Oversee finance activities related to the Group Solar Project, including income tracking, performance forecasting, recoveries, charge-outs, flash reviews, and budget management.
•Manage insurance-related financial processes, including calculating Sum Insured (SI) values for regional properties and ensuring the timely settlement and receipt of insurance claims in coordination with internal teams and insurers.
•Lead financial planning and reporting for central engineering projects and manage improvement initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and adherence to annual budgeting guidelines.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business Management, and/or a professional qualification in finance such as CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or ACCA.

Experience

2 to 3 years of relevant experience with strong knowledge of budgeting, financial management/accounting concepts, and procurement processes
Exposure to Engineering and IT functions and processes will be an added advantage
