Key purpose of the Job

The Merchandiser -Product Development is responsible for effectively leading the execution of product development for the assigned categories. This encompasses accurately forecasting customer orders, overseeing the sample development process, conducting order costing, negotiating with customers, and liaising with internal teams and customers to achieve objectives related to topline, profitability, on-time delivery (OTD), and customer return index (CRI).
 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for developing PD Merchandising objectives and action plans for the assigned categories.
  2. Drive the achievement of Sample Development On-Time Delivery (OTD) and profitability objectives in collaboration with internal SBU/Corporate teams and Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs).
  3. Manage relationships with customers/buying houses to achieve strategic PD deliverables, including outstanding product development and Customer Relationship Index (CRI).
  4. Knowledge of product pricing and T&A creation is required.
  5. Maintaining a good system discipline is a must as he/she will be playing a key role in system updates(PLM). 

Education

A Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Designing, Clothing Technology, Business Administration, or Marketing is required

Experience

1 to 2+ years of relevant experience in the merchandising function
