Key purpose of the Job
As Assistant Manager – Production is responsible for managing all the Engineering aspects of the plant (sewing & non-sewing machinery, engineering services & building) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensures high machine availability, manages spare parts and consumables inventory, and supports continuous improvement initiatives such as machine setting optimization and SMV reduction. The role also involves conducting audits and ensuring compliance with maintenance and safety standards.
Furthermore, the job holder is responsible for execute the vested duties and responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety guidelines, instructions and protocols of the Organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and execution of the machine maintenance activities in the Plant
- Responsible for planning and deployment of Plant Engineering requirements, including objectives, budgets, improvement projects, etc.
- Responsible for implementing machine setting, SMV improvement projects, cost reduction initiatives and conducting spot audits for achieving the functional objectives
- Manage relationships with internal and external stake holders for achievement of functional objectives
- Oversee implementation of facility maintenance and improvement projects
- Responsible for managing the Plant Engineering team
