Key purpose of the Job
The Regional Tax Executive is responsible for supporting the Regional Finance Manager and Group Taxation team in delivering effective taxation compliance and governance across the Bangladesh Region. This includes timely submission of Tax & VAT return, Tax & VAT audit coordination & prepare the relevant supporting documents & submit during audits , and continuous process improvements. The role works closely with Tax & VAT authorities , Sri Lanka Group Tax team , Bangladesh region Finance teams, and external tax consultants to ensure timely compliance, resolution of legacy issues, accurate reporting, and adherence to statutory requirements and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review & Submit monthly online VAT/Tax Returns, Annual Tax returns, and Annual VAT return
- Complete Bangladesh entities tax and VAT audits as per the stipulated timelines under the supervision and guidance of the Regional Finance Manager
- Maintain effective relationships with internal (BD Finance team & SL Group Tax team) and external stakeholders (Tax/VAT Authorities, Tax & VAT Consultants) , including functional coordination, process improvements, issue resolution
- Any other special project as assign by the management & Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective execution of financial reporting, tax/vat compliance, and special finance initiatives.
