Key purpose of the Job

The Factory Accountant, reporting to the Head of Finance of Bangladesh Region acts as the controller of factory finance that includes preparing and monitoring the annual factory budget (planned vs actuals) as well as managing overheads of the factory. The role holder also collaborates with cross-functional teams for undertaking value creation initiatives in the factory. Ensuring effectiveness of internal controls and governance including audit of Factory Control Assessment is critical to the role holder. Further Factory Accountant is responsible for the in-house material management and risk management in effective manner​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of plant budget and monitoring adherence to the same​
  • Responsible for achieving customer plant top line and bottom-line targets by partnering with business teams​
  • Optimize raw material management in the plant in terms of order to ship improvements, cut ship governance and excess RM and surplus garment handling adhering to SOPs​
  • Manage factory overheads including monitoring target vs actuals (monthly/ quarterly) and suggesting corrective actions​
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders for value creation projects (cost optimization, productivity improvement, SWORD) and facilitate key periodical reviews​
  • Ensure governance and adherence to internal control systems in the factory, prepare MIS and other reports for management​

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or BBA/Masters or MBA & – CMA Partly qualified

Experience

3 to 4 Years of relevant corporate experience in cost/management accounting with a strong knowledge of financial budgeting, overhead management and financial accounting in Manufacturing / RMG sector
Sound understanding factory operational processes / cost accounting & Management Accounting
Work experience in apparel / RMG
