Key purpose of the Job

The Manager-Compliance will lead the compliance function for the SBU. The role holder is responsible for ensuring that all factories within the SBUs including subcontract plants adhere to customer’s codes of conduct, applicable laws and regulations as well as Brandix policies and procedure. He/she will also need to coordinate the submission of information/declarations required by customers from time to time with the objective of strengthening Brandix’s position as a compliant vendor.​

The role holder is also responsible for driving synergies with the Corporate Compliance team and cross-functional teams for ensuring effective deployment of Group compliance policies/ processes and initiatives to achieve the LRP objectives of the function. ​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploying effective Compliance strategies across the SBU, based on Brandix’s vision and Strategy, SBU business plan, LRP, Corporate and Compliance strategies.​
  • Ensuring compliance framework is implemented across all factories in the SBU which ensures adherence to Customers Codes of Conduct, applicable laws and regulations, as well as Brandix policies and procedures.​
  • Strengthening governance and the internal control framework.​
  • Liaising and driving collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders for Attainment of functional objectives.​
  • Leading the team effectively for achievement of functional objectives.
  • Occupational Health and Safety responsibilities relevant to country regulation and customer CoC.

Education

Master's/Bachelor’s degree or a professional qualification in Human Resources/Law/Business Administration/Finance or any other relevant field ​

Experience

7+ years of relevant experience in the Compliance function, with a strong understanding of apparel manufacturing.
