Key purpose of the Job

The Manager Finance, reporting to the Head of Finance, plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's assets and financial performance. Role holder responsible for the closure and consolidation of accounts for Bangladesh entities within the stipulated timelines with compliance with regulatory requirements related to Tax, VAT, RJSC, and the regulations of the Central Bank of Bangladesh. Additionally, the role involves completing statutory audit, transfer pricing, and tax and VAT audits for Bangladesh entities within the stipulated timelines. Manager Finance will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet functional requirements for, treasury and fund management, as well as addressing logistic-related concerns from a finance perspective​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly closure and consolidation of BD entities' financial statements and GL accounts as per stipulated timelines, including GL schedules consolidation, reconciliations & Present monthly/annual financial statements ​
  • Comply with the regulatory requirements - Tax, VAT, RJSC, and the Central Bank of Bangladesh & monitor monthly online VAT/Tax Returns, Annual Tax returns, and Annual VAT return submissions ​
  • Complete Bangladesh entities' statutory audit, transfer pricing audit, EPF audit and tax and VAT audits as per the stipulated timelines​
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for treasury and cashflow & fund management, Payment approval & BD logistic-related concerns​
  • Any other special project as assign by the management (Amalgamation, RJSC Activities , Central Banking reporting )​

Education

BBA/MBA – Major in Accounting & Finance CA CC, Partly qualified 1,200 Marks (Chartered Accountancy – 3 Years Work Experience)

Experience

CA Course complete, & 8 to 10 years of relevant corporate experience with handling VAT/TAX & Statutory Audits in Manufacturing / RMG sector
Sound understanding IASs, IFRSs, ISAs, Income Tax Act, VAT Act, Company’s Act
Knowledge on submitting different statutory & regulatory returns
Working experience with the Big four will be an added advantage
