Key purpose of the Job
Financial Accountant in Central Finance, reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, is responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate financial accounting, consolidation, and reporting requirements for the Bangladesh region. The role plays a critical part in safeguarding the organization’s assets and financial performance, with a primary focus on the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements with
coordination of account closures, statutory / EPF / Transfer pricing audit, treasury, fixed assets, overhead governance, and statutory compliance while working closely with Sri Lanka Corporate finance team, Bangladesh factory finance teams, auditors & finance consultants , banks, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present monthly/annual financial statements & review the balance sheet schedules of the Bangladesh entities & finalize intercompany reconciliations & submission of consolidation packs within agreed timelines
- Complete Bangladesh entities' statutory audit, transfer pricing audit, EPF audit and tax and VAT audits as per the stipulated timelines
- Manage central fixed asset governance, insurance coordination, regional overhead finalization, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Perform region treasury operations, including cashflow management, bank coordination, loan and BOE schedules, and group funding requirements.
- Any other special project as assign by the management & Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective execution of financial reporting, compliance, and special finance initiatives.
