Key purpose of the Job

The role holder will spearhead Category Management for the Fabric category by developing and deploying the relevant strategy and achieving the Group Fabric Category Management objectives/KPIs. The responsibilities include supplier consolidation, margin improvement, supplier relationship management, supplier capability assessment/evaluation, and upstream risk management. The role holder will be a technical and innovation expert in the Fabric Category. Driving the identified LRP critical initiatives(CFIs) relating to Fabric together with Category and SBU teams is also critical to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring achievement of the strategic sourcing objectives for the assigned category, including new supplier identification, supplier evaluation, margin improvement, supplier consolidation, capacity, quality, etc.
2. Effective implementation of supplier on-boarding and risk mitigation initiatives across the Group
3. Driving synergies with the relevant SBU/Corporate Supply Chain teams, cross-functional stakeholders, suppliers, service providers, and customers for achievement of category objectives through the annual budgeting exercise and participation
4. Providing MIS, reports and progress updates on KPIs, category savings, supplier capability evaluation dashboards, functional projects, etc., as per guidelines
5. Leading and managing the category team for achievement of functional objectives

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical science or Textile technology or Business Administration or any other relevant stream

Experience

8 - 10+ years of relevant experience in the Supply Chain function, with strong exposure to Fabric Supplier development, sourcing and knowledge of global best practices in the Textile industry
