Key purpose of the Job

As a Fashion Designer, you will be immersed in every aspect of the design process, from conceptualization to production. You will work closely with senior designers and other team members to contribute to the creation of high-quality, trend-setting garments. This Project Based role offers hands-on experience in design development, fabric selection, pattern making, and garment construction, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with senior designers to develop innovative and on-trend fashion collections.
  2. Conducting research on current fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques.
  3. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative design concepts.
  4. Create sketches and technical drawings to communicate design ideas effectively.
  5. Sourcing fabrics and trims, and liaise with suppliers.
  6. Support the design team in pattern making, sampling, and garment fitting.
  7. Organizing and maintaining design archives and materials.
  8. Stay updated on industry developments and emerging trends.
  9. Undertake any additional tasks or projects as assigned by the senior team members
     

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Designing / Clothing Technology or any other relevant stream

Experience

Strong passion for fashion and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Excellent sketching and illustration skills.
Basic knowledge of garment construction and pattern making.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Previous internships or relevant work experience in fashion design is a plus.
