Key purpose of the Job

As Intern - Procurement, you will be reporting to the Senior Executive – Procurement of the SBU. You will be required to ensure that the raw material requirements of customer orders are purchased on time at the best price to maximize profitability and ensure on time delivery of bulk orders by constantly monitoring order progress and initiating corrective action. ​​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure material fulfillment for smooth production​.​
  • Follow the Time & Action plan and achieve 100% OTD on garment delivery, as well as inventory optimization and reduction of RM write-offs​.​
  • Liaising with internal/external cross-functional teams and building lasting relationships with the customer​.​

Education

Possess academic and/or professional qualifications in Statistics and/or Marketing, or hold a degree in Textile/Fabric Technology

Experience

Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Effective time management skills, prioritization capabilities and ability to perform under pressure
Be proactive, assertive and forward-thinking​
Ability to take ownership in delivering operational excellence while being a performance-oriented team player​​.
