Key purpose of the Job

As the Executive – Occupational Health and Safety, you will be reporting to the Manager - Occupational Health & Safety. Ensure that the plant achieve the required Health & Safety standards as per the local laws, customer & certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
·Achieving the Health & Safety standards in line with the Factories Ordinance, Customer compliance standards & OSHA standards that will ensure the safety of the people & the plant.
·Developing a plan of actions which align with the strategy outlined by the Group Safety & Health Manager and ensure that the agreed action plans are carried out by the plant with optimum use of available resources and within the budget for plant Health & Safety activities including trainings.
·Ensuring that work places conduct regular Health & Safety Inspections/Audit against the well-defined check list & the findings are submitted for Management meetings & recommendations, improvements are implemented based on these inspection reports submitted of Identified High Risk factors with recommended solutions to the Management for their information & perusal.
·Ensuring that all workers are competent to handle the areas they are responsible for & work with relevant stake holders and build a safety culture by designing and implementing of safety campaigns, competitions and activities, sharing of safety news bulletins etc., to enhance the workers participation in occupational safety and health management will also fall under your purview.

 

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Certification / Diploma in Industrial Safety
Experience
4 to 5+ years of experience of relevant experience in the Safety function, with understanding of functional statutory, compliance, certification and liaison requirements
