Key purpose of the Job

As Fabric Technology, you will be reporting to the Deputy General Manager - Raw Material Innovation. You will ensure that all raw materials the SBU develops and sources are to be first time right as per the quality requirements/standards of each assigned customer. You will conduct mill evaluations, risk assessments and pre-production meetings with technical validation to align and onboard suppliers for Brandix processes, while ensuring supplier alignment and compliance with customer-focused quality standards and CP. You will drive lab dips and bulk submissions approval mechanism on time, and implement processes to continuously improve raw material quality levels and lead times, sustaining back-end manufacturing operations smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify raw material sources regionally and globally and validate their capability and reliability for Brandix and its supply chain strategies
2. Initiate new development or cross development with proper Time & Action plan in agreement with the selected source and handle all technical and colour related criteria of the raw material against the assigned customer requirement 
3. Ensure that raw material submissions received from source are in accordance with customer specifications and continue to maintain seamless communication for any justification or change required for customer from the source
4. Proficiency in Raw Material evaluation methods and techniques is required as you will be called upon to attend to ad-hoc raw material quality concerns whilst proactively resolving problems 
5. Color management and meeting of supplier deadlines and following-up on delays
6. Formulate good relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders


Possess a Diploma or Certificate in Textile Technology; a Bachelor’s Degree in Textiles or a Diploma with relevant experience in Development/Clothing/Sourcing would be advantageous


Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in the Apparel industry
Possess good working knowledge in fabrics and the Textile network in the industry
Possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills as well as a positive and problem-solving attitude
Fluency in English communication is essential
