Key purpose of the Job

As an Intern in Procurement, you will report to the Assistant Manager in Procurement of the SBU. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the raw material requirements for customer orders are purchased on time at the best price to maximize profitability. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of bulk orders by continuously monitoring order progress and initiating corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure material fulfillment for smooth production.
  2. Follow the time and action plan to achieve a 100% On-Time Delivery (OTD) on garment delivery, along with inventory optimization and reduction of raw material write-offs.
  3. Foster effective liaisons with internal and external cross-functional teams, while also building lasting relationships with customers.

Education

Possess an Academic/Professional qualification in Statistics and/or Marketing/a Degree in Textile/Fabric Technology.

Experience

Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Exhibit effective time management and prioritization capabilities, with the ability to perform well under pressure
Be proactive, assertive, and forward-thinking
