Key purpose of the Job

The Merchandiser - Product Development is responsible for leading the effective execution of product development for the assigned categories. This includes accurately forecasting customer orders, overseeing the sample development process, conducting order costing and negotiations with customers, as well as liaising with internal teams and customers to achieve topline, profitability, on-time delivery (OTD), and customer return index (CRI) objectives.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for developing PD Merchandising objectives and action plans for the assigned categories
  2. Drive the achievement of Sample Development On-Time Delivery (OTD) and profitability objectives in collaboration with internal SBU/Corporate teams and CFTs.
  3. Manage relationships with customers/buying houses to achieve strategic PD deliverables, including outstanding product development and Customer Relationship Index (CRI) etc.
  4. Lead and manage the team of Development Merchandisers for the assigned categories to achieve functional objectives
     

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Designing/Clothing Technology or any other relevant stream with 1 - 3+ years experience in Merchandising

Experience

Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in Merchandising (With Bra Product Experience).
