Key purpose of the Job
The Manager – Engineering leads the engineering function for the plant and is responsible for overseeing machine maintenance and facility engineering initiatives for the plant. This includes overseeing implementation of machine / facility maintenance activities, machine and spares availability, forecasting and adherence to plant engineering budgets execution of improvement projects (for example, SMV reduction, cost savings) and plant facility projects. The role holder also drives sustainability and automation initiatives for the plant, as directed by the centre / group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and deployment of Plant Engineering
requirements, including objectives, budgets, improvement projects, etc. - Oversee effective implementation of machine maintenance activities
- Oversee implementation of facility maintenance and improvement
projects - Manage relationships with internal and external stake holders for
achievement of functional objectives - Responsible for managing the Plant Engineering team
