Key purpose of the Job
The Executive - Automation & Innovation carries out Design/Develop automation solutions, simulates prototype modules and implementations to Bulk manufacturing to improve SMV, cost and throughput time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with IE and Technical team and suggesting the simplified automated construction methods to business based on the samples/sketch received.
- Designing, programming, simulating and testing automated machinery and processes to complete exact tasks
- Ensuring all automations agreed to are completed on time for sampling or bulk.
- Working closely with outside suppliers and aligning them to the business requirements.
- Liaising with outside workshops and completing tasks on agreed T & A.
- Preparing the monthly project plan along with the estimated project cost and obtaining the approval from IE &Finance Department. Preparing the month -end presentation to the management
- Following up the developed automations until implemented to the bulk. Ensuring flawless execution from development to handover.
- Reviewing the next season’s development products and applying possible automation solutions.
- Reviewing bulk production common operations and implementing possible automation solutions to improve the throughput time.
- Experience in project scope preparation and machine drawings preparation.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering, preferably with a focus on Mechatronics
Experience
3 years + Experience in the apparel industry as an Automation Engineer
Good knowledge in 3D Mechanical designing (Solid works Designing)
Hands-on experience on PLC & Microcontroller Programming/IoT based development /Electronic & Electrical Control panel designing and wiring/sewing machine programing and basic sewing machine mechanical knowledge
