Key purpose of the Job

The Assistant Manager - Product Technology is responsible for coordinating and providing technical support & follow-up with relevant stakeholders & supplier sources for the assigned RM & products development/ technology translation to ensure final garment development to meet the customer’s inspiration. This includes an understanding of customer requirements, product research new market trends/ consumer needs, evaluation & mitigation of the development risk, customer testing protocols, consumption & costing, and coordination for sample development with third-party supplier sources facilities as well as within the Group facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understand customer requirements through research on competition, consumer needs, and trends, and brainstorm timely, quality product solutions.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify new opportunities, integrating innovations in raw materials, garment dyeing, embellishment, and construction for complete product solutions.
  3. Work with marketing, cross-functional teams, and supply chain to stay updated on customer insights and source reliable suppliers, optimizing profit and minimizing costs for commercially viable products.
  4. Identify risks and establish mitigation plans in product development while ensuring quality and testing standards on the agreed critical path.
  5. Collaborate with the design lead from brainstorming to concept finalization, managing product realization, consumption, and cost validation in bulk operations.
  6. Lead and manage the team, track development progress, monitor KPIs, and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and company values.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma(3+ year) in Textile/Clothing/Fabric technology or any other relevant stream in raw material with over 3+ academic strength

Experience

5+ years experience in a similar capacity
Fast moving on own status quo with forward-thinking with excellent Team skills will be considered for priority
