Key purpose of the Job

As the Manager – Fabric Inspection you will oversee the inspection of raw materials and authorize inspection reports. The role involves identifying and addressing defective materials, coordinating with Procurement, Suppliers, and Plant teams for replacements and troubleshooting quality issues. In addition, the position requires strict adherence to the organization’s Health & Safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with all protocols and standards.​​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identification of defective raw materials and obtaining replacements, as per the approved standard specifications
  • Responsible for issuing the inspection report to relevant teams & trouble shooting for RM quality issues
  • Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure seamless implementation of RM inspection processes
  • Lead and manage a team of fabric inspectors

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Textile/Clothing/Fabric Technology or any other relevant stream

Experience

2 to 3+ years of relevant experience in the Fabric Inspection function
Strong technical knowledge of raw materials
Knowledge on fabric inspection process, 4-point method, residual shrinkage, curing shrinkage and steam shrinkage
Knowledge on wash & dye shrinkage, shade bands, batch shading and roll shading, customer light source, trims inspection process and trims testing
Strong knowledge on cut panel inspection process and fusing machine conditions and fusing testing
