Key purpose of the Job

The Executive - Quality Assurance is responsible to ensure merchandise manufactured are delivered to the customer, as per the set quality requirement. The role holder is also responsible to ensure adherence to quality guidelines and procedures in allocated section. Furthermore, the job holder is responsible for execute the vested duties and responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety guidelines, instructions and protocols of the Organization

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in morning discussions and highlight focus areas of the day after analysing the previous day end line report
  • Initiate corrective action plan for rectification of process failures based on the feedback provided by quality checkers
  • Highlight and act upon any deviation from prescribed quality standards and initiate corrective action in consultation with internal stakeholders and manager-quality
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and ensure implementation of  quality systems, processes and procedures to the allocated section
  • Track shift end report to check quality activities undertaken during the shift, issues faced and actions taken
  • Evaluate documents to ensure critical issues, test failures are captured, as necessary
  • Prepare Quality Management System (QMS) documents including SOPs, MSOPs, Instruction Manuals, Visual Guides, as per plan
  • Manage employee relations in collaboration with HR, including counselling for conflict resolution, disciplinary issues (for example, absenteeism, late coming), etc.
  • Review and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety standards / protocols for all functional activities
  • Drive employee motivation initiatives, T&D requirements (for example, skill matrix updation, training nomination) and career progression plans for team members (for example, job rotation), as per guidelines.

Education

A Diploma in Clothing Technology/Quality Assurance will be advantageous. in Certification in Clothing Technology

Experience

0-3+ years of experience in a supervisory role in quality function Entry level STEP
