Key purpose of the Job

The Factory Accountant is responsible for controlling factory overheads and maintaining factory profitability. The role holder should ensure that the appropriate control
framework is in place to safeguard the assets, and provide value added information/analysis to the Management for better decision making. Furthermore, the job holder
is responsible to execute the vested duties and responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety guidelines, instructions and protocols of the Organization.
 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparing budgets, controlling overheads, and analyzing variances 
2. Driving the factory P&L whilst minimizing the margin erosion
3. Ensuring adherence to Group policies & procedures and the appropriate control framework to safeguard assets
4. Providing information to the Management in a timely and accurate manner, as per the stipulated guidelines
5. Creating value by providing information/analysis to assist in driving the business

Education

A Degree in Finance or a passed Finalist of CASL/ ACCA or CIMA

Experience

Relevant industry experience of 2 years is an added advantage
Ability to deliver results on time
Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude and develop effective interpersonal relationships with cross-functional teams
