Key purpose of the Job

The Executive - Occupational Health & Safety is responsible for implementing the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards and compliance requirements for the concerned plant location. Includes implementation of safety processes, monitoring adherence to safety standards by employees and contractors / outsourced staff, safety training, coordinating safety committee meetings and conducting OH&S audits for compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for implementing OHS Internal Control Framework at site level and govern it to achieve OHS excellence.
  2. Implement OHS improvement programs targeting to achieve interdependent OHS culture at the business (Brandix location)
  3. Work with the internal and external stake holders for achievement of plant OH&S objectives, including MIS and reporting as per guidelines
  4. Play a vital role in crisis management and business continuity during epidemic/ pandemic situations

Education

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Diploma or Certification in Industrial Safety

Experience

2+ years of experience in the safety function, with understanding of functional statutory, compliance, certification and liaison requirements
