Key purpose of the Job
The Plant Technical Section Lead is responsible for providing technical support to ensure orders are delivered to the customers as per the customer requirement and as per time plan. The role holder is also responsible for mitigating production related risks by providing technical solutions during the pre-production and production process ensuring RFT, OTD and Quality.
Furthermore, the job holder is responsible for execute the vested duties and responsibilities in relation to the Health & Safety guidelines, instructions and protocols of the Organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend pre-production meetings to understand the technical specifications and customer requirements and provide technical inputs and suggestions to prevent issues during production stage
- Analyse and understand new styles in consultation with manager, provide input to decide on production viability
- Participate and contribute in risk analysis meeting to understand potential risks/ issues that may arise at the time of bulk productions
- Review production plan on a daily basis and ensure all resources for daily operations are in place in a timely manner, including the, machines, attachments, SMOs and plan for any exigencies (For example, high absenteeism, machine breakdown etc.)
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Engineering in the factory, on a daily basis on issues in the assigned lines (for example, SMO absenteeism, feeding delays, machinery faults, quality of output)
- Provide technical solutions to issues raised by team members, in case of complex issues, escalate the same to the manager for speedy resolution
- Ensure the team is adequately resourced to meet the functional requirements
- Develop and communicate performance criteria and individual goals to the team
- Drive employee motivation initiatives, T&D requirements (for example, training nomination) and career progression plans for team members (for example, job rotation), as per guidelines in collaboration with Manager.
