Key purpose of the Job

The Assistant Manager - Engineering is responsible for maintaining Brandix Knit center (BKC) engineering functions at the highest standards. This includes maintaining utility machinery such as chillers, AHUs, compressors, etc. The AM-Engineering leads the PDC engineering team to maintain and deliver the required PDC performance. The AM-Engineering is also responsible for maintaining healthy relationships with relevant factories and providing the necessary support to ensure machine availability, project planning and execution and the implementation of group engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Central responsibility to ensure machine availability according to the monthly production plan
2.    Plan and deploy plant engineering requirements, including objectives, budgets, and improvement projects
3.    Maintain BKC and Welisara factory buildings along with relevant assets
4.    Support other locations in executing engineering projects, including CAPEX proposals
5.    Assist with auditing and compliance requirements at the factory level
 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

1+ years of relevant experience in the plant engineering function
At least 1+ years of experience in machine maintenance, engineering design and automation projects
