Key purpose of the Job
The Senior Fabric Technologist (Activewear) is responsible for executing fabric technology processes for raw material development and bulk production for assigned activewear customers and categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for executing fabric technology processes for raw material development, including mill evaluations, risk assessments, fabric testing and customer approvals
- Implement assigned functional initiatives for fabric development, including supply chain management, supplier relationship management (SRM) and profitability improvement
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve functional objectives
- Explore opportunities in fabric and techniques for activewear
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physical science or Textile technology or any other relevant stream
Experience
2 years of experience in Fabric Technology, specializing in activewear customers with strong technical knowledge of raw materials and fabric processes, including 1-2 years of development experience in synthetic fabric mills
Exposure to specific techniques, such as bonding and seam sealing etc
